I used to think running was boring...

Well, I (Kimberly) ran 10 miles yesterday. I've always wanted to be able to say that. Double digits! In miles! I ran it in 1:50. I don't know if I'll ever be able to run again though. I may need an extra long break now considering how my left hip is schmerzing and kanipsing now with each step. Oh, well, I'm a runner. There isn't any chaffing, joint pain, weather, dogs, or random people who feel they need to comment on my running that can stop me (it just slows me down a little and makes me think creatively on the fly). Jonathan's mom lost many of her toenails after running a marathon in Hawaii, now that is impressive! I could only dream of being that hardcore. A while back when things were melting and then froze again, I was hobbling across a section of rutty ice when a someone rolled down the passenger window of their car and hollered, "Run faster!". I laughed, and then realized they looked serious. Then I wanted to chain them to a treadmill and make them run for mile upon mile while I threw debris onto the treadmill. As far as thinking creatively, I have used magic mittens to prevent chaffing on the fly. I have been alarmed at how many dogs just wander the streets, happy to chase a runner. I've had such bad runs that I wished a car would hit me just a little so that I could have a good excuse to stop. Of course, then runners started to get hit by cars on purpose and then I realized that it probably wouldn't have worked out that well for me any way. Most of the time I am thinking things like, just keep going, keep moving your legs, oh half way to the next mile, wow my knee does actually hurt with each and every step, when can I walk next, I can't wait to walk. And then runners fly past you and you think, I wonder what mile they are on, and I wish we could all have signs on us that say "On, mile 9/10". Or something like that. Yes, running is much more exciting than I would have thought.

Oh wow! Outdoor running IS exciting. I'm going to run my 8 miles outside tomorrow. That is assuming this pain in my back is gone. So random, I think I slept on it strangly or something but I could hardly walk this morning. So I really hope it's gone tomorrow so I can run.

Way to go Kimberly!!!! You ARE a runner!Even with all the aches and pains, doesn't it give you a sense of accomplishment? I can't believe a person actually told you to run faster! He had a lot of nerve saying that from his CAR! You are doing well....keep it up!

That was a great piece of writing. You have expressed well the noble journey of a runner, a person who continues to persevere even in midst of hardship. Gotta tell you, the idea of chaining someone to a treadmill to run miles upon miles...gold!
Anyway, I'm glad to hear that your 10-miler went well. I was going to ask you about it yesterday, but I went to the bathroom instead and forgot. Anywhoo, keep on rockin'!

Peace OUt.

Thank-you everyone! I'm glad that I could inspire you roslyn to run in the great outdoors. I just can't believe the person in the car could not see that I was slowly running due to the fact that I was running on rutty ice.

And Joel, I was going to talk to you about it as well, but you went to the bathroom and I forgot. Sorry I couldn't get there sooner. By the way, yesterday Joshua disclosed to me that he is scared of uncle Jonathan. And, did you see our awesome fort? I did play-by-play on our soccer game in the fort, good times!

it's sure a weird sort of scared, that's for sure, I think it's the type that you can't ever tell.
And yes, I saw the fort, pretty awesome.
