What's Up?
So, it's the end of January, and I've been going to school, and working on my new 8.9" screen laptop. It's tiny, and cute, and the other laptops in my classes could eat it for dinner, but that's ok. Kimberly's been working very hard at home and at work. Anemone is awesome and really cool. The video will portray that quite succinctly. Other than that we're looking forward to a fun vacation coming up (Caribbean Cruise) with my family sans kids!! Sweet!!

Happy Birthday Anemone!
What a great birthday party we had with lots of family and friends and cupcakes!! Anemone still doesn't seem to understand the whole gift opening yet. She kept replacing the tissue paper Jonathan would take out of gift bags and when she ripped open a gift, she tried to put it back together.
This is her trying on her new winter boots that I bought for her a good size or 3 larger than was necessary in order to get as much use out of them as possible. I think she liked them, even though she couldn't walk in them.
More gifts, and a lot more people...
And then came the birthday cupcake. Soon after this picture was taken she snuffed out her candle with her own bare hands.
After some crying she started to eat her cupcake...I mean she started to inhale her cupcake. You can still see some tears if you look closely. Nothing like chocolate to make everything alright again.

And after so much partying, it was time for a gooooooood snuggle and sleep.

I love October!
So the new way to cheer Anemone up after her most recent fall (or often during a teething episode) is to take self- portraits. It works really well, except that she always laughs after the picture is taken because she finds the flash hilarious! Here is us trying to look like each other.

While Jonathan is busy working hard for a little cash, me and Anemone are enjoying fall! Sadly, I'll soon have to start working hard too (I am back to work at the beginning of December). At least we can enjoy the fall weather and "no work" a little longer.

Summer fun
So this is what we've been up to lately....
First we were at Pembina Valley Bible Camp for a week as Jonathan was speaking again. We spent a fair bit of time on the beloved deck, picked chokecherries, hung out with camp folk, and stayed at a great house looking over the valley.

Then my sister had her baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her name is Nadia Skye! She is the cutest, prettiest niece in the world and I love her! We got her the rock and roll princess ensemble she is wearing in these pics. She already has a beautiful smile with 2 dimples.

I suddenly realized how big Anemone is when compared to how tiny Nadia is. Someone pointed out the other day that this is the furthest away in "age" they will ever be. Soon enough they will be two peas in a pod.
After that we were off to the annual Ryan and Julia camping trip, this time with a baby included in the mix. Anemone loves to eat leaves and sand. I much prefer this to the hair she eats off the floor at home.
If Julia walks past a fire pit, it turns ablaze. Quite an asset when camping with her.
Ryan, well...he photographs well. And that's important too.
We went hiking to the pseudo desert. It turned out there were a lot of steps and hills and sand. Princess Anemone received star treatment on this hike. If you look closely you will see she is asleep. These steps proved to be a drop in a bucket compared to the ladders leading up to the sand dunes. But, we conquered.
My first visit to the sand dunes. The sand was so soft.
This is how we kept Anemone cool in the hot weather. She usually does not allow anything on her head. In this case a cold, wet towel was acceptable. We also had a camp site right my the water, so we often went for a quick swim.
Now we have been back to regular life. Jonathan is looking for work. I'm looking at our to do list and wishing it would get smaller. In the mean time, I have found that Anemone's hair fits into a tiny ponytail!! She officially looks like Pebbles, but acts more like Bam-Bam.
Her many talents now include grooving and playing piano.
